Water change and supplements(if needed) will do the trick. I'm not sure what your question is, if alk and mag are in range, you don't need to dose it. Same for calcium. LPS don't need alot of calcium like SPS, so salt water changes will increase the alk and calcium eventually, only watch for the...
Probably the angel is afraid of light? that's why it wants the cave to hide in the dark....My potter used to hide like that for 2 days then finally comes out and.
its sound like bacteria infection. I would guess get some medications for him before it's too late. I can't remember the name of this issue as it happened to me before.
Pandora, I did do more than 20% water change every other day. The nitrate is not going down, it still stays at about 20 after the water change, and back up to 40 right after the day of water change. I'm thinking the tank is recirculating, let me know as I don't want to crash the tank with high...
Well, guys I do not include any sand from the old tank. My plan was to keep the tank as clean as it is for SPS tank. I am using the API test kits and Elos as magnesium kit.
Same here, everyone has their own philosophical views on how to manage their tank, in this case water change. 1dude you should try to see what is fit for your tank, and let everyone knows....
Well, I don't know what happened to my new nano tank. Recently I transfer what's left of livestock and LR to my new nano tank, even the water. I tested it and the result gives me an astonish face. the nitrate levels are reading from 20 aprox 40. Is this normal??? is the tank recirculating? I...
it goes back to the question: what is in your tank. Softies and somewhat LPS people do water change every 2 or 3 week or even months. SPS is a must for every week, due to the amount of cal,alk and mag they use, water changes and supplement are a must. I find out people refer 10% every week plus...
check your water para. These guys will spread or multiply fast in nutritious environment/ high temp. The only way is carefully take out the rock or the branch that has them. DO NOT try to kill it in the tank by any mojano/aptaisa control chemical. It will spread when you touch it. Hope it helps.
Checking its mouth, if it is red/pink mouth then it is strawberry anemone, lives in the shaded area. I used to have those before, totally harmless, it is just a normal anemone. The green mojano is the one you should worry about, spreading 100x...
