My New 75 Gallon Reef lots of pics

I see what you mean. Yea, i thought about doing the same and set mine up with 2 drains but I haven't found a secure way of placing the return lines over the top. I don't have a canopy over my tank so I'd have to find another way to "clamp" it down. Post up pics once you've set it up.

    Pairs and hosts

I had a yellow clown goby that would perch on certain corals including a clam. He'd coral hop from one to the next. Not necessarily a symbiotic relationship, but cool to watch.

    Baby Clowns

I've had the orange one longer and introduced the black when it was almost half the size of the orange. It's now grown a bit larger than the orange. That's a cool color coralline to have in the tank! Has it spread across the tank or just to neighboring rocks?

    Anyone know what this is?

Welcome! In regards to your question, the phosphate reactor and UV sterilizer are for two different purposes. One shouldn't effect the other. The reactor is specifically for phosphate removal, depending on the media you use as well. UV is for clearing out free-floating potentially harmful micro...

    GPH question

That is, if it's too slow, the skimmer would be skimming already skimmed water. If too fast, some water will be returned to the display unskimmed.

    GPH question

Wouldn't you want the flow through the sump to be around if not faster than the rate of the skimmer to keep it running efficiently?

    Anybody vapin???

I don't own one myself but several of my friends do back in CA. One of my friends actually buys several different simple flavors and combines them to make his own. I believe his latest flavor was a vanilla, almond, with peanut butter (and maybe one other flavor). Sounds weird but it was...

Help. What is this thing on my ORA red planet

I see, glad that it worked out! I would have thought it to be a sponge. Just weird polyps were still able to get through it.
