10 Gallon.. Would that be enough?

I thought of that but I am going to have it on the bottom since its not just a refugium. Its a sump too. Theres going to be a skimmer in one section, auto-top off container, etc. It would just be better under. If it was a fuge then I probably would have it above.

10 Gallon.. Would that be enough?

Yeah.. That makes sense. Im just going to have to really save up any extra room for my fuge area. Im going to try to make the pump section have the smallest room as possible.

    Our first home!

Well.. All I have is a 44 gallon right now. Thats too small for a lion. I might be able to keep a fuzzy dwarf but I'd rather have some reef fish in there instead. I sold a 125 gallon a few months ago for $350. Skimmer, lighting, wet/dry, stand, canopy. That would be great for that type of setup...

    Fish Ideas

Are they jumpers? Im not too sure about which fish I will be keeping because its very likely that I wont have a cover on my tank. Im using Coralife PCs for light, so I really can't have a hood. Sorry to hijack.

10 Gallon.. Would that be enough?

Some of you know, I have a 44 gallon pentagon. The stand is akward, and I was going to get a 20 gallon long and build another stand looking case next to the main tank, but I thought it would just be easier if I can fit a 10 gallon under the 44 gallon. I measured, and I can fit a 10 gallon under...

    How Many is TOO Many?

When I had my 125 gallon setup, I had 6 yellow tangs. I bought 5 and for some reason they all fought. It was either take one back and see how that works out, or buy another. I bought another and rearranged the tank while dripping him. Added him and they all got along fine. I had a 1000gph pump...

    Fish Requirements

Hm.. Im going to watch this topic. I work at my LFS. Once my tank is ready, I know for a fact I will be feeding the mandarin tank mysis and live brine. If one accepts it, Ill probably take him home. Its obvious they dont need a large tank as long as there are plenty of copepods avaliable. In...

    Lighting For a 55 Gallon

A friend of mine is going to be setting up a 55 gallon reef. I have him reading all the forums and books so he pretty knows whats involved. I put together a huge list for him of everything he should need, but one thing I wasnt sure about was lighting. He wants to be able to keep ANYTHING. Hes...

    Nano-Forum

I was pushing around the idea of setting up a nano reef since its less costly compared to what Im doing now. I have a feeling Im going to like setting up my bigger tank more. You gotta pay to play.

At my shop.. All fish are guarenteed as long as you bring in the fish, and a water sample in a seperate container. We test the water and if you params are out of control we cant do anything for you. If it seems fine then we give you store credit.

    More Algae In Reefs?

Probably not. I believe the toxins are only released at night when the caulerpa goes sexual. In a refugium, the lights are always on. Also, if you trim it back you should have any problems with toxins, correct? Thanks for the replys guys. I will be building a fuge when I get my new tank up, but...

Well, I dont know about their saltwater fish. I bought a freshwater snail for a pond and that was guarenteed for 14 days.

    More Algae In Reefs?

Is there a reason why you dont see too much algae in reef tanks? I really like the way grape caulerpa, razor caulerpa, feather caulerpa, Caulerpa paspaliodes, and Halmedia look in reef tanks. Its not something you see too often. Im not a fan of hair algae in the tanks by any means - but I do...
