    Nitrate/Phosphate test and NO3:PO4 -X

Seachem phosphate test and Aquarium pharmaceutical for nitrate. Do you think using no3po4x will have any negative problems if my nitrates and phosphates are zero? If they are truly zero, what could be causing the algae? I only have the lights on 6 hours a day.

    Nitrate/Phosphate test and NO3:PO4 -X

Hi, I just did a nitrate test and phosphate test and the results were 0 in both tests. But I have this algae problem that is starting to get out of control. I purchased NO3:PO4-X from Red Sea, should I use it even though the test were negative? Thanks.

So I gots the hair algae...

Would putting a light in the sump area help keep the algae from growing it the tank? I have some rubble in the sump, and wondering with the lights on 24/7 would the hair algae grow on the rubble and not so much in the tank.

When is a tank considered establsihed?

My 36 gallon tank will be up a year this coming May. I want to add creatures that need an established tank, when is a tank considered established? How do you know if you have cope pods and that there is enough to maintain a mandarin fish? Thank you.
