    LED moonlights?

    well.... just find 35mm blue LEDs from radio shack. then find an old cellphone you no longer plan on using and take the charger from that and rig it to your LEDs. If you need help with the math to determine how bright you want your moonlights, its just V=IR, but LMK if anything is unclear to you.

    Fix your Odyssea 250 watt silver box HQI ballast

    Just to add on to this thread, this mod should only be done with the last generation odyssea ballasts which are silver! You will be wasting your time modding the new generation ballasts which are black. Odyssea has made some adjustments to run the ballasts wattage to what they are suppose to be.

    First zoas! Eagle Eyes. 20 polyps (alot of them are 3/4 the way open because I just turned on the light) It looks like a giant rock of zoas, but its only MAYBE 1" across :D *ps* I dont actually plan on making a bunch of picos for people, lol I'm too busy for this and I dont have the acrylic.

    I wouldnt say that this is completely accurate. There are some good 20k bulbs that output more par than a 14k bulb. It all depends. Same with LEDs, most blue LEDs give the same par as the white ones. But as a general rule, you're correct but it does vary.

    oh geez 15x12x12 is pretty big. I was talking more pico size. haha. like less than 6" in 2 dimensions. Plus, with a 15x12x12, you'd need atleast 3/8" thick acrylic for rimless or 1/4" eurobraced. LEDs on a 15x12x12 is fine, you'd probably want something like 15x12x8 if you're doing JUST zoas...
