    Playing with the camera today

I took a few pics and these are the ones that worked out the best, no editing done to these as I don't have any software at the moment. I need to get some actinics for this tank to help with the true color a little bit, i think they are washed out on these pics.

    new to reef

The shrimp will definitely "hard" cycle your system and do it quickly. I did this on my systems as it really cuts down on the cycle time without it. I leave mine in for about a week or so then take it out and do a 50% water change and test for everything, then if needed wait another few days to...

Looking for LEDs LOCALLY for your LED project?

Steves are both diy and pre built and then rapid led are for diy projects only... Both have a great product and great customer service. It all depends on what your budget is and how much effort you want to throw at it.

    Tank glass turning green

Take it down to 6hrs for a week or so it takes time fir it to effect the system... Since just about all algeas need the light to grow cutting that down will help. Do very frequent water changes and rare you running carbon?or a uv filter? That will help a lot?

    Tank glass turning green

I would try reducing your photo period down to 6 hrs a day and see if that helps. Use charcoal, carbon, and phosban if pssible to get rid of most of the impurities in the system.

    Water storage tanks

Hit up cash and carry! they have a good selection of these kinds of things. or there are a couple restaurant supply stores downtown seattle that have good prices. also a brute garbage can from home depot works well.
