    Skimmer Experience

    Does anybody out there have any experience with the RK2 X flow skimmer? I have heard that this is one of the good ones and just want to confirm. Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Don, The pump's motor cares not which direction the water goes out of the impeller. You can rotate that volute anywhere around the motor shaft you need. Hope this helps. Les :D

    Do you use a check valve to prevent floods?

    I have used one for years, never had a problem with it. In fact, until recently joining the local reef club hadn't even heard of any problems.

    Ed, I have just finished installing the last of the mods to my tank. I added a vacuum breaker at the top of the supply pipe.
