Impulse Elos 120XL - Custom Stand

When I designed the stand, I always planed to put some kind of fading led lights inside. Then came a decision to overbuild for strength by adding more support beams near the middle-front and back. So when I put a glass door in place to test- Crap!-the new support beams were plainly visible thru...

Impulse Elos 120XL - Custom Stand

Thanks Ron! I'm happy with the major rock formations, but still tweeking the back left corner, and coral placement trying to maximize depth. Funny though, I used only the rock from my old 75 gal., and it was'nt crammed with rock either. This tank is almost double the volume, and I don't think...

    Need Live Brine ASAP!-Finicky Fish!!!!

Purple Queen Anthias Group. They eat a little cyclopseze, swim out in the open, and live with a hearty trio of sunburst anthias. Lesson learned. Always ask ur LFS to feed before u buy-to make sure. Also do a little reading before jumping on a fish purchase.

    Bad emerald!

On occasion they may touch or pinch a coral- but I find this to be rare - and have never had any damage done. I have had some zoanthids pulled loose when infested with algae. They are 99 percent reef safe I think.

    red bugs

Treating new coral is the best way to use interceptor, because it won't hurt ur main tank. If they are in your main tank however - go thru the entire treatment cycle, and it will completely eliminate the bugs forever! -Thats what I have found- If you don't do all the treatments (something...

what's the deal with these clowns?

True Perculas rule! I ve never heard of them biting anyone. One of the best things about clowns, is that they have a tiny territory around their anenome. They don't need a huge ocean to be happy. I feel better when the fish doesnt feel trapped in their aquarium!

    Blastomussa Welsi ?'s

I just got a killer Blasto Colony! I have a spot I would like to put it in, but its a little bright. Do you think I can work its light tolerance up to a level fit for SPS? Or will it harm the coral? I wish I could post a pic, but its too much work to figure out the posting system. Also, how...

    Monti Eating Nudi

I had the nudies for a year or so, but they are definately gone now. It took an extended campaign to kill the little buggers. My technique was crude, but it worked in the long run. I took an asperator, and sprayed the under side of all monties and adjacent rocks fiercly. I did this regularly...

    Please Don't Trade Red Bugs!

I do stand by my opinion that trading redbugs without explicitly telling the person about the potential problem is wrong.

    Please Don't Trade Red Bugs!

You guys are right. I should not have mentioned Dang by name. I knew I was crossing the line a little, and I guess it set a negative tone. I apologize to Dang and Reef Frontiers for pointing the finger with a jerk attitude.

    Monti Bleaching...Help!!!

Hard to say what it is? I've had the nudibrachts. They will find some monties tastier than other ones. They live on the underside of the coral until they run out of flesh, and then they will move up. They are tiny and look feathery, like a peice of detritis-almost invisible. They decimated...
