    With the loss of Blue Sierra in Issaquah (because of a lease dispute), I feel like there are a lot of hobbyists out there that now have to travel further. Plus, people in Issaquah have a lot of money to spend.

    +1 on two islands I'm no expert on flow, but I think dead zones are especially a problem where the sand is, not so much rocks on top of each other. Also, if dead zones are a major problem, get more power by adding or upgrading powerheads.

    My suggestion--for whatever that's worth--would be to build upwards more. Coral reefs in the wild often grow vertically, not horizontally, which is why you will see a lot of "island" themes in reef tanks.     He's had that set-up and fish listed on CL for over a month. In his old postings, he said that he would not separate the Copperband and the Sailfin, "because they're friends." They beat up his blue tang pretty bad too...
