    aquatic dreams is just easy of state line and in my opinion, it's the best LFS in the area. Kevin(the owner) and his wife Franky are incredibly nice and knowledgable. Kevin has been doing reef stuff for like some 30 years haha.

    I agree buy "dead" sand and then go to your LFS and buy and pound of there sand out of their tank(if the have nice tanks lol)

    tangdr, the whole top is covered with a sealed acrylic top. no worries(; the new tank as turned into a pain in my butt lol thanks tike. I love this tank and it's set up but it is time to go bigger. go big or go home lol unless you love nanos, then I guess you can stay haha

    add the mandarin last. and wait a while for your sump(if it has a fuge) to get a good colony of pods. what color is the algae? are you using r/o water? and just to be on the safe side I would add one fish at a time and wait a week or two. with a new set up it could be pretty easy to overwhelm...

    there is a skimmer in another chamber and yes he was a very bad shrimp lol. I don't know what I'm going to do for lighting on the new tank!!!!!

    he is doing great. no prepared foods, just pods. my sump is set up for them and spotted mandarins stay smaller then the more popular ones. so they eat less. he is plump! haha trust me I did many months of planning for him and countless hours of research on dragonets. if he ever starts to look...
