    More stable? I would say that depends on your definition of stable. Macs/*nix are definitely less prone to being compromised because you are absolutely right, more than 90% of people run some version of windows. Thats like shooting the side of a barn compared to a beer can on a fence post.

    Don is right, I ended up keeping an older PC near the tank and using straight up rs232 for communication. Unfortunately the communication is only 1 way, so you will need to use the screens on the rk2 to configure it! There are some other options other than a usb>serial adapter and drivers...
