    Thats what I had always thought. I have a Bak pak and I'm pretty happy with it and you can get a used one for around $60.

    that's one of the regrets I have about the setup. What black plastic vinyl stuff are you talking about? I also did this as a tester for when I upgrade to a larger setup, not sure if I will do the bean overflow again, it takes up alot of room in the tank.

    Nano Filtration

    I would say the two powerheads is plenty flow, But it doesn't hurt to hook the canister filter up and see what happens. If its to much fkow you can always take the canister filter off or a powerhead. I would also recomend getting a simmer, it will help out alot with water quality.

    Well look what we have here.

    Do you have issues with the light fixture producing to much heat with such a small setup? I have a ten gallon and have been contemplating getting a metal hailed fixture for it.
