I use a turkey baster.....suck up some thawed mysis shrimp and squirt them on the open polyps. They munch them down like fat happy piglets! I've been feeding every other day....but just recently started feeding daily....I want them to grow and multiply a bit faster. I don't move them out of...

Who is using NSW in their reef?

If you have one of those current adapters in your car....you can use an old return pump.....put a garden hose one the return end and then just stick it in the water.....leave buckets in truck and direct the flow into the buckets with the hose.....lifting a hose is much easier on the back than...

    I need help identifying this

I have a little bit of the same thing in my tank....took a piece into my fish guy to find out if it was good or bad....he said it's a type of sponge and doesn't hurt anything. Plus, it serves as extra chow for my sponge partial munching critters!

    Moving lrg tank-need suggestions

I agree the 30 gal. is too small. I knew I would grow out of it quickly. I knew I would jump to a bigger tank quickly. I just used the 30 gal. because I used to have fresh water fish (icky cichlids) in it and only had to upgrade my lighting & add power heads. I just added the corals this...

    Moving lrg tank-need suggestions

I was only planning on keeping enough water to transport fish, live rock (LR), and sump stuff. I was thinking I should start mixing salt water and get my temporary holding tank set up and running today. I would run the holding tank as a bare bottom---should I pull a piece of LR from my current...

    Anemone help

From what I've read, anemonies will move around until they find a spot they like. I kept trying to put mine in nice hole in a rock, close to the light....and it kept moving back down to the sand bed to a specific spot. I finally gave up and left it there. It appears to be happy. I also use a...
