Friendly gift came with some special things

They are yellow now...a bright yellow...so not really sure if they are the same. There are quite a few of them on this one rock but they are the 1st things we have in the tank other than fish and a few invertabretes so its a good test to see if anything can actually "grow" in our tank ... LOL

Think my sea urchin is in trouble...based on various readings

I acclimated him simply by putting the bag in the tank for about 2 hours...no drip or anything and then quickly removed him and gently placed him in the tank. As for live rock...my tank only came with a couple of pieces...we have added about another 30-40 lbs but it is still pretty new (and we...

Having a new tank setup and being a newbie to the saltwater hobby ... I purchased a beautiful red/white sticky sea urchin (which I believe is in the tuxedo urchin family or some such family) for my tank. Little did I know that this fellow would struggle from the time I placed him into his new...

So far so good...I do think I've lost some crabs as I saw a crab body floating by just yesterday but think that was my clownfish being overly aggressive in their removal techniques...LOL...they cannot stand when the crabs get down in their "nest" and actually become quite violent in putting...

    Clown eggs?

Will the fact they have laid on a piece of live rock make removal easier? Can you just lift out the piece of rock and relocate to your baby tank? Newbie here so maybe that is not realistic. My clowns just laid too (this is the 4th time in so many weeks) but their preference is to clear a...
