    RBTA?

It is probably just trying to acclimate to your lighting. My guess is it will continue to move around your tank for a week or two. I wouldn't worry about it yet for sure. They also can stretch up pretty far from their foot. So you may end up seeing it stretch for the light in a few days if...

    Had another visiter today

I would say giant house spider. I just got rid of a couple in my house last week. They seem to move in when we have cold spells. I hear them called wolf spiders all the time here in N Idaho

    Do clowns pick at clams?

I suppose that depends on how you define host.....

    first saltwater tank

Like they said get some test kits for ammonia, nitrates, etc. But my guess would be that after 3 weeks with established rock for another tank you are probably OK with the 1 clown. Just give it a bit of time before adding anything else. If you hit high on ammonia or nitrates be sure to do a...

    Do clowns pick at clams?

My guess would be that the clown is checking the clam out as a potential host. I have read a number of posts where clownfish took a clam as a host. Does your clam current have something it resides in as a host?

Found myself a sweet DJ strip pretty cheap on Amazon.com. I am not buying it yet since I am not anywhere near this point but figured I would share the link in case folks reading this are looking for one. Only $30 right now...

Making the impossible possible? Don't give up!

I have a couple threads here on RF. One is the 55gallon I have had going for a bit over a year now and has the most recent pics in the thread. http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47712 And here is my new thread to the 125gallon build I am slowly working on...

Making the impossible possible? Don't give up!

Scoot, do you mean my current SW tank? I was just commenting on Ac7av's comment about their cichlid tank if that is what you mean. My freshie tanks have been gone for a couple years now.

Making the impossible possible? Don't give up!

I agree totally, one fish can't pick out another and go after it without worrying about another going after it. And it is very unlikely to have a large group single out one fish. The aggression gets spread over many targets and keeps fish on the defensive instead of the attack.

Making the impossible possible? Don't give up!

Ah the good old cichlid days. If only fish were enough I would still be doing freshwater. I don't have any cool story about something I have done that I others would say is impossible. However, I do want to comment on your accomplishments Ben. I think the reason you are able to keep your...

    Slate's 125gal build

The skimmer I purchased from Green Skimmer arrived today to my surprise. Skimmerwhisperer was very quick on shipping it to me. I must say I am not sure why they call this a "mini". I am very excited for the day I get to see this puppy at work.

lol, well I didn't know if you had a certain type of corals or anything you were doing with the tank. So I guess you are doing a little of whatever sounds good at the time.

    Jesse's 40B with 20L sump

Yeah, I may go with a 55gallon for the sump anyways. I was just looking for info in case the one here didn't have what I wanted. I am waiting to see my skimmer before i may a decision. I want to be able to remove the skimmer if need be without breaking anything is the grand plan. What are...
