    I would do a sump with the return pump being a mag 12 on a SCWD and than some power heads or another SCWD Mag 12 closed loop. I have a friend that runs the dual SCWD on his 75 and it works really nice. Nice thing about the SCWDS is no ugly powerheads i the tank.

    for a 75 closed loop i would run a mag 12 on a SCWD. This is a nice combo for circulation. A closed loop basically cirulates water through the pump. THe pum draws water directly from te tank and returns it to the tank. The pump is a closed system. Do not run a mag pump external the covers are...

    Euroreefs are the best IMO. They are super quiet, powerful and come with a pump. And most importantly skim like crazy!!

    The T-12 VHO bulbs have a specteral life of about 4-6 months. The T-5 bulbs reportedly hold there spectrum up to 18 months. This is the info supplied to me by the VHO and T-5 lamp manufacturers.

    That price is not that low for an E-bay item. For comparison i sell the milwaukee regulator for $95.

    Use a 4 ft retro kit. With a 23" deep tank i would go with 250 watt halides to maximize your livestock choices. Coralvue makes nice afordable retro kits. You can take a look at all the Coralvue retros on my site if you like.
