    What is this?

Nassarius snails are great. Just added one to my pico yesterday. Love watching it burrow in the sand.

    Mobile support?

The browser works. It's just a PITA to zoom in/out and generally enter forum text. I'd even be perfectly happy if there were an optimized mobile site. It just gets a bit annoying to have to zoom and slide on every page refresh. Since I access these boards about half the time from a mobile...

    Mobile support?

It's a client app on the phone that allows you to interface directly with the forums. From playing around with the free version for the iPhone it looks pretty dang sweet.

    Mobile support?

Hi all, Just wanted to toss out the request for a vBulletin MOD called Tapatalk. It's a simple single mod add-on that enables iPhone, Android, and Nokia support for the forums. Pretty please add this mod.. :)

80 gallon tank ....will it hold these for a week

You definitely need more space for those fish. The old rule goes something like this. 1" of fish per 2g of water. Some will say 1" of fish per 1g but that can lead to overcrowding pretty quickly. While this is not a hard and fast rule it is a good one to consider when talking about the well...

Skimmer keeps on over flowing.....plz help

Some quick tips with skimmers... Follow dnjan's advice. Drill the hole near an inch or so above the base (your height preference) of the skimmer collection cup. This will act as an overflow drain much like most bathroom sinks have. When the skimmer scum reaches that level it will drain it...

Where do you buy your clams?

Just looking for a compile for where everyone gets their clams. I'm looking to buy a 1"-2" T. Maxima or T. Crocea in the next couple months and was curious where everyone has purchased theirs. Thanks.

bb tanks pics, lets see them

Couple quick questions. Are you using RO/DI water? Have you checked your phosphates? Have you tried using a commercial or DIY phosphate reactor. Was this LR in a previous tank? If so, check out this artcle on Reekeeping Online Magazine. Probably a worst case scenario but something I had...

Ugh. That is really sad to hear. It looks like it had a pretty bad tumble. How did it happen?

    My first SW tank oppinions

I like it. One thing to know about the SCWDs. Over time they can clog or get calcification inside the gears. What will happen is that the flow starts to reduce and then only one side will expel water. I've gone through three in five years (and my current one is hosed). My mistake was that I...

    So.......I'm new here....

Welcome! I agree with cdbdis. I had a BTA some time ago and plopped it in a place that it wasn't happy. It ended up moving all over the tank until it was higher in the water column and in medium flow. The down side was that it moved onto the front of my tank so all I could see was the foot...

    sugar for cyano

So I have heard of vodka dosing but haven't looked into it much. I wasn't aware of any sugar additives, though. In any case, dosing with vodka seems to be the buzz lately (pun intended). I believe it was mainly for Nitrates with the added bonus that it can also aid with Phosphates. However...
