    Need help to ID

Yep. check out a post I did a little while ago. While pretty cool, it basically took over my tank in the matter of a couple weeks. Right now I have to harvest it by hand every week. if someone knows a way to get rid of the stuff, please ping me or reply to the thread. Thanks. Neomeris annulata

Current USA Sunpaq Dual LED mod [ pic heavy ]

Thanks! If you haven't played around with the new LEDs, they are very impressive. However, they do come at a premium since you need a driver for whites and one for blues (and their about $30 ea). The best part is that you can "tune" your spectrum, save on power and overal heat dispersal...

Current USA Sunpaq Dual LED mod [ pic heavy ]

I thought I would put a quick post up here in case any of you were considering modding your Current USA or Coralife canopies. Basically I wanted to boost the output of my light so I could maintain corals that required higher light. This mod added at least 50% more light (probably closer to 75%)...

    What's wrong with my timer?!?

Thank you for posting this. I bought one of these years ago and never got it to work properly. I thought I just bought a defective one (which may be the case) but never got around to returning it. I've used it as a regular power strip ever since...and it still sucks. The stupid timer makes a...

Any one know a good DIY for a auto water top off

I posted all the steps I used to make my ATO for my pico tank. Once I had the parts it took about 10 minutes to put it all together. Scroll down a bit in the thread. I think it's the last section.

    my new sweet little nano

Really? The micro bubbles were bad for me for the first couple days then disappeared once the skimmer was broken in. However, I do have it in one of my chambers behind a couple bafles so that probably stops any remaining bubbles from entering the tank.

    my new sweet little nano

Thanks! I don't have any finished pics...yet... :) The tank is about a month old and is just about done cycling. Hopefully I'll have some updates in another week or so. As for the AquaticLife skimmer, I really like it. You can "dial-in" the water level inside the skimmer so that it is...

    Snail Exodus

Some snails are substantially hardier than others. However, you should do a quick check of your other water parameters (such as ammonia, pH, and salinity) to see if the water is the culprit. Additionally, as lvsuckerfish mentions you'll want to ensure that you are not overstocking a cleaner crew...

    New to Seattle tacoma area

Welcome to the great NW! Can't wait to see your build. Best of luck getting everything setup.

    General help with cycle.

I agree. Dropping a rock with (potentially) hair algae on it into a cycling tank is increasing your chances of spreading the algae to other rocks and around the tank. Probably best to not include it unless you scrub it and boil it first...
