O.K Let see some coral shots.

Nice gargonian. Over all, your pictures are good. They are just a tad blurry, but that could be camera shake. Have you read this article yet? http://www.melevsreef.com/take_great_pictures.html Use the timer feature on a tripod, and don't move at all while it takes the shot.

O.K Let see some coral shots.

It is a Fuji S602Z, and the lens is built-in. I don't change lens, and simply shoot in macro mode. Those pictures you saw were taken through a topdown photo box. http://www.melevsreef.com/topdown.html

Of course these are from my tank. I'm a picture taking fool and just uploaded 50 new ones to my March folder. :)

Nice. I'd love to see that in person one day. Hey, if you added a sandbed, it would be perfect.

I bet it will look even more amzing in 6 months to a year. Are you doing monthly water changes?

If you look at his corals, they are all a decent size, and the layout of his tank flows so nicely. I really like its appearance. My tank has some nice corals, but a lot of them are growing from frags and I just want to see colonies already. Maybe I'll test the water toinght so I can feel like...

Sherman, that looks great. I wish my corals looked like that.

It is a Tyree LE frag, but I don't know what it is called. It looked different under my AB lightbulb:

Thanks guys. It is in my seahorse tank, so I have to watch my water quality in there.

    reefcast.com - have you heard? ;)

Thank you, guys. We have a whopping two episodes under our belt so far, but already it is easier. Hopefully we can get this down to a science, so that it doesn't eat up so much time getting it ready for download. Keeping it conversational is key, I think.

The next edition of reefcast is available now. I think you guys will really like this one. Plus a picture from my tank.

Dabears, are you using a tripod? This may be caused by camera shake rather than lack of focus.

O.K Let see some coral shots.

dabears, you want to set your camera to Macro mode. It usually is represented by a button with a flower on it, or perhaps on the display screen. Portrait and Landscape may be vertical or horizontal pictures, or distance vs lighting a person's face with the surrounding area a little blurry.

O.K Let see some coral shots.

I just checked and my site is up, so perhaps it was down earlier. I looked at your pictures, and most of them are rather blue-ish. Some cameras have trouble focusing in low light. It could be how you press the shutter button as well. Have you read this article yet...

Nikki, we may delve into difficult topics in future episodes, and adding our sources would be good. For now, we want to be topical, entertaining, and hopefully keep it flowing so it doesn't become boring to the listeners.
