    reefcast.com - have you heard? ;)

It should be out by Sunday. We re-recorded it tonight with our new microphone, and it sounds so much better. If you like the show, please refer others to the reef-cast as well. We need your help getting the word out. And for the record, our reefcast is free, and we will be putting links to...

O.K Let see some coral shots.

Actually, the suncoral shot is virtually directly out of the camera. I told it to autocorrect levels, and it darkened it slightly. Here's what I recommend for photo adjustments: http://www.melevsreef.com/pics/demo/

O.K Let see some coral shots.

Well, I don't want to steer this thread off topic. Better you start a new thread perhaps, putting a link in this one. Polyp extension isn't exactly the definition of a healthy coral, but we tend to think it is. Back on topic:

Show me your full tank shots

I'm happy with them so far, but it hasn't even been a week yet. ;) I do like the price, btw!

O.K Let see some coral shots.

That was the same for me for years, Shallowreef. However, that could be other factors. Higher nitrate, higher phosphate, nipping fish, etc. My SPS extend like crazy at night, but I'm seeing some nice furry corals in my tank during the day time as well finally. Apparently, my water quality is...

Show me your full tank shots

Spock, the Naso, is easily 9" long, and about 1.5" thick. The tank is really doing well, and I've been admiring it for the past couple of days. I was battling PO4 for about 5-6 months, and lost stuff in the process. Things are really shaping up. Btw, that picture was taken the day I...

Help with my home made Sump - anyone have last minute suggestions

What size tank is this sump for? 25' is a long haul. The water should drain into the sump from above preferably. You don't need yet one more elbow. The pipe should be secured, and only be submerged 1" at the most. If that tank is 18" tall, you could probaly have the baffles at 12" tall...

    tank cleaning

I never clean it, because I clean the other viewing panels well. So if my snails get hungry enough, the back wall is for their dining enjoyment. Plus, if you end up scratching your tank a number of times, you may be able to turn the tank around to make the back panel the front, and get more...

    reefcast.com - have you heard? ;)

How to select healthy livestock at the LFS. A brand new website with a cool feature. (You did say hints. lol) An interview with a club president. An interview for an annual event. These are just segments of the show, as each one will have multiple topics. And if you have a question you want...

    reefcast.com - have you heard? ;)

We've had good feedback regarding the first reefcast. One person from the U.K. wrote to us, and another from New Zealand. That's pretty neat, to reach people around the world so quickly. If you enjoy it, you can go to itunes to subscribe for future reefcasts, and these will automatically...

    DIY Phytoplankton Culture Station

I've used home grown phyto for years. Orginally I was buying the largest bottle of DT's every month, and that was expensive. Growing your own is economical. Especially if you grow rotifers to feed to new fry or to your corals. I'm not a chemist, but we know that copper is bad for our tanks...

    reefcast.com - have you heard? ;)

Perhaps you've been to my website in the past. Well, I wanted to take it to another level with the podcast technology we have today. So I got some help from another DFWMAS member, and we are going to do 'reefcasts' once a week. Simply, it is a pre-recorded internet radio show about the hobby. We...

    MACNA 2005 Pics

They are still in development, and beta testers will get to try them out in December. The plan is to release them in February via the normal online vendors. The cost has not been determined yet, but it should be a little less than the Tunze Streams with magnets. There shouldn't be waiting...

Dan, you don't sound all that convinced that a refugium is a good thing. ;)
