    Well, the clown is only 1.25" long atm. The tangs are about 2.5". I had no plans to keep them there more than a year, but the new tank is a great bonus if i can get it setup. :) I will look at wrasses at barrier next week!

    I removed a piece of live rock from my tank, and a small piece of shell or something maybe 1/3 of an inch across fell and landed in the middle of my anemone! Should i try to remove it? (how?). Or should i leave it? will the anemone or clown eventually remove it?

    So I have been hunting CL to find an RBTA, and I found Rose Bulb Tip Anemones. I am a little concerned by the pictures because it appears that his tank is nearly overrun with hair algae? Do the anemones look ok or should I just avoid it?

    Thats kind of what I am looking for, with 36 LEDs what sort of wattage should i bet getting per light? Also, what degree of lens should i be using? or 125? or something narrower? I can adjust height above the water to make initial setup easier. by optics, do you mean lens?

    the tank is a standard 36 bowfront, so around 20" deep. there is approx 3" of sand, and a whole lot of rock. I expect the lights will be a few inches above the water, there is no hood, only some glass lids. The exact distance I wont know until i get the heatsink and fashion some sort of legs...

    Once the tank is a few months old I would like to start adding some corals and an anemone. Is there an intensity threshold I should watch for? maybe it would be better to just get 5w LEDs instead?
