    Heating cold water

    Maybe this is obvious but, i think you should heat the water as you use it...don't heat the whole tank..try running the water through a coil system that heats the water as it is used.

    PVC Question

    I just know from experiance.... you can drink the water through pipe that has been glued (PVC Glue) within a few mins. of drying. I have also done this with my tank with no effects.

    PS. I have kept this grouper on a very strict diet. IE. Once a week I feed it one cube of Formula 1 and two or three small bits of needlefish... Watch your finger (literally) I know that seems like a small amount, but as you can see he/she is very health.

    Wood Grain Help?

    I would put the finer grains on the bottom... Wood is weak in tension.. so for a piece of wood in bending stick the best part (finer grain) of the wood on the bottom. Ben

    My DIY Stand

    2x2 seem small for pine esp. since the real diminsions are less than 2x2...if it were a hardwood such as oak it would be more than enough. Using 3/4 plywood is a much better solution that can hold much more weight and is much more likely to be a "stable support" as opposed to small columns...
