It took our clown about 2 mins before hosting the frogspawn. They will also host zoos, mushrooms, ricordia, etc. They aren't as picky as they are made out...

    Jim, By far the worse algae Casey and I have come across. Its holdfasts get into every nook and cranny. We have been battling this algae for about 3 months now, but were actively cultivating it before, to provide food for a tang that we decided against. Manual extraction during water changes...

    We have 2 clams, we have never target fed them, just provide plenty of light (top 1/4 of the tank on 234w of t5 lights) and applicable flow. If you want to 'feed' them, dosing the whole tank with phyto is an option, but you really don't need to do anything different than providing ideal...

    I have both ATI Blue plus and the Giesemann equiv that Kevin sells at his shop. In my opinion, the ATI is a brighter (whiter) blue while the Giesemann is a deeper blue, closer to the end of the spectrum.
