    drip rate and Ca levels of your reactor

    What is your efluent Ca levels and how fast are you dripping? Mine is at 600ppm and dripping at 100 drops/minute and I can't seem to keep up with my corals demand. I have a 100g system with about 30 medium-large SPS colonies and my level are consistantly at 300ppm and dkh at 4. What can I do...

    mixing Kalk with saltwater

    From what I gathered, I guess mixing with saltwater won't work. I didn't know what the outcome would be that's why I asked. Thanks for everyone's inputs, I will figure some other way to dose it with freshwater.

    My freshwater top off (float valve) is already mounted in the sump. I don't have enough room to incorporate another "bucket + valve" resevoir to use for the Kalk reactor.

    I guess I should explain a little better. I want to use saltwater from my sump to add into the Kalk reactor instead of freshwater top off. Will it work the same as freshwater?

    I do have a tank full of of SPS and my CA/meg gets depleted fairly quick. If were to do weekly or bi-weekly water changes it wouldn't be that bad. However I do water changes on a monthly basis. Do you know of any megnesium media that will disovle gradually?

    I have a 120g SPS tank that is currently being dose by a calcium reactor. For megnesium addition I use Seachem Advance Megnsium that I mix up weekly and add it accordingly. I really hate this method as it is inconsistance and tideous. Is there any way to add megnesium via my calcium reactor...
