    Jawfish stupid question

Irrelevant to the direct topic.....but interesting. This species has been renamed Americamysis bahia and has become available to the aquarium hobby as a food source. http://www.mblaquaculture.com/content/organisms/americamysis_bahia.php

Yellow tail damsel vs Mandarin dragonet

Good luck, I still have some major concerns but it is not possible to verify how much frozen it will eat, etc. I would cultural copepods at highest production regardless, as mandarin fish literally feed continuously from morning to night. This will give you the best chances. I would also have...

Yellow tail damsel vs Mandarin dragonet

I'd be more concerned with the relatively small size of your tank. Unless there is a large refugium attached to your system, a 32g tank (even with lots of liverock) cannot support a mandarinfish. Some folks have had some success getting them to eat dry food (search Google for "mandarin diner")...

    Growths on clown

Is the clown a new addition or has it been in the tank for some time? What are your water parameters (PH,ammonia, nitrite, nitrate)?

    Tang and Ocellaris

    1) I believe you will have to wait a few weeks to see if the new fish introduced anything. There is no way to initially guarantee either way. 2) Don't know, Steve will have a better approach on this section 3) Is the clownfish an adult? If so, it is going to be a female added to a tank (and...

Need more advice on SnowFlake Eel...

OMOTS - I believe you are just a bit to much with the "cart before the horse" so to speak with assuming what MIGHT be wrong with the eel. I believe the hope here is to just get the fish into a condition where it can be better judged, as opposed to the overall poor condition in which it was...

Has anyone got a group of PB tangs?

This is usually an argument put forth by those looking to do something inadvisable. The true answer is quite the contrary, many people, including folks on this and other fish forums have had (or are still having) success keeping fish species for their full lifespans. This indicates that the...

Has anyone got a group of PB tangs?

It often does not pay to jump in these discussions, but there is a side point that should be established. One of the biggest values of the internet and forums is that we can browse the success and failures of others. These days, we do not have to experience ich, velvet, etc. to know that we...

    cherub angel, Centropyge Argi question

They are captive reared at Inland Aquatics and sold in pairs....perhaps you can contact them to see if they have established any differences as they pair up in their vessels.

    Achilles Tang

How did you cycle the quarantine tank? Did you check for ammonia and nitrites before/during the bad reaction of the tang?

    MH on a 46g bowfront

Excellent....I have seen the methods of removing the entire brace, but I like the "anchoring" so to speak off the new brace into the old.

    MH on a 46g bowfront

I also have the same tank sitting empty right now and have some halide parts I could use on it. My tank has the black plastic center brace and not sure if your tank has the same rmhuntley. Would this create a shadow in the very center of the tank if using only one MH (175w) or would its impact...
