    Anyone buy fish from Petco?

    Colt coral

    I stabbed it (at least that's what it felt like!) with a toothpick to a rock. I also put the rock and colt in a mesh breeder basket to help cut down on flow and those lovely gobies who like to perch on it.

    halides vs. power compacts

    I agree with Ken. Two 175w halides and some vhos or pcs will be plenty. Personally, I like pcs better than vhos. Just my opinion.

    Anyone buy fish from Petco?

    One word: Quarantine! Petcos run copper constantly in their fish systems, so the fish's immune system is supressed. Also, I agree with Clayton, buy out of the bag if possible.

    Big Meeting in Tri-Cities

    Great Conference!

    Even though Barbie already spoke for me, I'll say that I had a lot of fun! The speakers had wonderful information and experience to share. I enjoyed talking to everyone and seeing the tanks. I am, however, certain I am too old to stay up that late. Next year, there's a hotel in my future...
