yeah, the sales forums have always been a sticking point. someone who knows the forum software better than me, or with more rights will have to look

(for comparison purposes) I see it, but its way over to the right... I don't see the insufficient privileges message either. I took a look on the admin side, but I either can't find it or don't have permission to edit permissions on forums.

    Old school frag swap

Still lots of folks that will trade frags or help out when a tank crashes. Just harder to find them now because there isn't a common place where everyone gets together

    Anybody still come here??

Methods have been refined to help you avoid water changes, and some folks are having success with them. When I looked at Triton, with the testing and dosing folks are doing, it seemed more over complicated and expensive. Of course, I do automated daily water changes, so, my method is really...

    Old school frag swap

I don't remember that specifically, but people just don't share like they used to. $600 a polyp corals took the place of sharing. Hobby trends.

Inviting People Back / New Content

@Admin I guess I should point out that I was and am currently still am an admin on this site. (Not that it really matters, but...) My preferences are set correctly as I've walked many people through setting them myself. Not on the new format, but nothing has changed all that much. I've...

I don't see a way to add a thread either

Greetings Earthlings - I come in peace.

Most folks who run reef tanks will tell you that live rock is all the filtration you will need, save for a skimmer. Most other things whether it be hang on or canister filters, or even filter socks in a sump tend to trap and build up detritus leading to nitrate issues unless they are changed on...

Greetings Earthlings - I come in peace.

Two issues with coral inserts. They provide little filtration (by means of surface area where good bacteria grows) as opposed to live rock, and they tend to end up with algae growth on them that ruins how they look anyway. Live rock is going to do much more for you and look much more natural...

Inviting People Back / New Content

There's a catch 22 here too. No activity means no there is no instant gratification on opening the page. Other platforms give you that. People don't care what they see, they just care that is is new. Facebook thrives on this. They roll things in so that something new always appears, even if...

    Anybody still come here??

Looks to me like email notifications aren't working any more, at least I'm not receiving them. Notifications bring people back

    Giving it up.

I have an apex for the tanks, but I think its a waste to use those outlets for light timers ... so I use the wifi outlets for that. (if they weren't LEDS and I might need to do something with them if the tank got hot or something, that'd be different) They have power bars too.

    My Simple Reef

Looks great! How long have you been running it? Some of those corals have been growing for a while! Hows the reffing community in Ohio? I don't know why I think reefs don't make it that far inland, I mean, I know better, but, it always jumps out at me when I see folks in the hobby that aren't...

    Giving it up.

My Rodi is in the basement and I have to pump it upstairs. Got a $15 wifi outlet and can turn the pump on and off with my phone or alexa. Seems like that could be a quick something you could do at pretty low cost to eek out a little more time
