    Judge this coraline algae growth.

Looks good, what one would expect with good water from frequent water changes or mineral replacement Keep up the good work!

Yep, and while at it, clean off any exposed cement on the perimeter and put a new bead all around.

    240 project tank

I have an Oly friend I gave your number to, she has a big truck and is VERY interested. The euro braces could be doubled up and that would leave the bottom still open.

    240 project tank

Yes, the "depression" would need to be filled with one or more pieces of glass, acting as shim

    240 project tank

You would only need to remove the top center braces. Then clean out any silicone in the corners, add a tube or two to the entire bottom perimeter, then lower the glass below the top end brace, down into one end and then allow the rest to be set down. The cement will smush around under the weight...

    Tank stand help

Agree with all that not much required to hold up 75 gallons. My old 72 bowfront factory stand was 1/4" fiberboard attached to 2x3" fiberboard "lumber" As long as there is enough bracing to keep it from twisting or leaning, you could make it out of almost anything. Most of my homemade stands were...

    240 project tank

To the next guy who needs to buy some. You can fix this tank by doing nothing more than adding a new bottom, cementing it onto the top of the existing one. Or save some money and add strips of glass on the bottom edges. If I had room, I would pay you a lot for it. Alas, barely got the 180 into...

    Cryptic Refugium

I have seen it and it is awesome! Wish had any room. If you have room, would be an amazing addition to any healthy reef.

Wow I just killed almost everything :(

Not so sure it was the brass. The copper in the alloy is fairly stable. Left underwater for years, barely gets a patina. I would assume ammonia spike as in biological cycling from organics present, or toxins. When you hear hooves, think horses not zebras.
