    Amphiprionidae (Clownfish) Workshop

Hi Deb! The scenario you posted above is typical of fishes that we keep in our tanks. This is one of the reasons a varied diet is best. Clownfishes, too, can get dependent on a certain type of food. I find that the best feeding response is in the morning for clownfishes. I have my lights...

Looks like one of my "Tongan Nassarius" snails. These guys are so fast for their size. Good eaters of leftover foods. Best, Ilham

Would you EVER buy a Fish from PetCo?

IMO, I would only buy fish from PetCo if it was still in the shipping bag (on the day they receive their packages). A looooong time ago (8 years ago?), I was dumb enough to dump water with the fish I got from PetCo directly into a tank. Well....sad enough...the copper-laden water killed...

    my parent picasso laying eggs

Very nice Suyong! They're so predictable. Mine seem to lay eggs on the same hour every two weeks. They seem to know the time better than humans. Best, Ilham

    Paracentropyge multifasciata - Multi-barred Angelfish

Hi Lee. The multibarred angelfish is one of the angelfishes that I do like. They tend to rather stay 'small', relatively. That...and it also has similar characteristics to the very much sought after Peppermint Angelfish...which we shouldn't be taking out of the water anyway...since it is a...

    not coral frenzy..clownfish frenzy!

I agree with Lee. Studies of clownfishes in the wild (of which I can't recall or quote the study at the moment) have found that algae is actually a significant part of a clownfish diet. They checked for stomach contents, so it is definite proof. I need to finish the feeding section in that...

    clarkii Clowns

Here is my thoughts and experiences with Clarkiis.. Clarkii clowns are one of the most "non-picky" clowns when it comes to what they choose as a host. In this respect, it is advisable, if you are just starting out, to keep either no anemone at all, or one of the "easier" to keep anemones. A...

    Clownfish and Anemones

IMO, one of the most useful and informative links is missing for clownfishes.... It is Kylie's anemone and clownfish resource pages...with about most of the variants known by geographical regions. Very, very nice pictorials... http://wish.wodonga.tafe.edu.au/~kwaldon/species.htm Best, Ilham
