    Calcium reactor feed pump

The $250 for the pump I linked is probably one of the best purchases I have made for my tank. I work out of town and am not able to tinker with my tank so it has to kind of run on autopilot while I'm gone. I haven't had to touch my reactor in anyway since I bought this pump.

    Calcium reactor feed pump

I have been using a different style of pump for around 6 months now and am very very happy with it. Before I was constantly adjust the effluent rate and was about to give up on my reactor until I came across these pumps and they work great. They are commonly used for chemical injections such...

    Maroon Clowns Breeding

This is interesting. I have never heard of more than a pair of clowns together while breeding especially with maroons. I guess I would just watch them and see if anything develops you know what they say "If it isn't broken don't fix it".

    Epoxy?

Yeah the "waterweld" I found was made by "JB" weld. I will have to go and look at them again or try ACE.

    Miyagi tort browning out...

I would check all your corals very closely for AEFW they will cause browning at the base and aslo the white spots that you are refering to. The AEFW are very hard to see but their eggs aren't. Also you can take a turkiey baster and blast the corals and see if any worms fly off.

    Algae ID?

Isn't cyano usually slimy? If I pull this stuff off it comes off in big chunks like hair algae.

    Algae ID?

Can anyone ID this for me. I don't believe it is Cyano it is black in color and most of it doesn't have the bubbles that Cyano usually has, although some chunks of it does have bubbles. This tank has been setup for around 4 years without a change in feeding or husbandry. Any thoughts?

    PVC Overflow

I will try to post a shortcut if it doesn't work then look up Mirages 40 gallon Hex in the members showcase forum. Here is the shortcut http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49762 I also did the same thing on a 40 breeder we have and it works ok. I don't think it will handle...

    Shipping corals

I agree with FedEx overnight we have had good luck with it. The "delivery signature required" part doesn't always help out because our UPS and FedEx people sometimes don't even ring the doorbell less likely get a signature.

    Emergency pump shutoff mechanism?

A friend of mine built a little water tight container with an open top that he installed the float in and then the box hangs bown in the tank at the level you want it to shut the pump off, that way the pump doesn't keep cycling on and off. You have to manually dump the water out of the box and...

    Mirage's 40 Gallon Stretch Hex

Tank is looking good. I have been running the same type of overflow on a 40 Breeder for a few months now and it works great. I just did a long slit length wise and it works good. I really like how little room it takes up.
