On my Geo 618 I am getting great Kh in the effluent but only 400 on the calcium with a Salfert Test kit. Doing 30bpm and 50 ml effluent. Does anyone get at least 450 Calcium with the Geo reactor.

What bubble rate and effluent rate do you use and what is the size of the tank for your GEO? I just acquired a 618 for a 300. Certainly has more media capacity than the Shuran Jetstream 1 but a smaller Eheim pump. Well, now I have both to compare.

Are there any issues with moister or potential water dripping with these kind of setups. I assume that they are not water proof.

My vote is with tigershark as well. I have three of them and use them up to 3/4" I purchase the separate removable pads which seem to work well. If you use the frequently, like every other day, they work real well. If you use them weekly, coraline/hardstuff will end up on the acrylic.

I have had excellent luck with Reef Optix 3 with icecap electronic ballasts for 250W HQI. The PFO pendents however are considably larger. I some of those but they are 400s. Big disadvance since only one company makes bulbs for the double end version.

I bought mine at blue zoo in California. Premium aquatic and a couple of other places have them for $79. They sell a separate cover for acrylic made by another manufacturer that seems to work well. I have not tried them on 3/4" acrylic yet since I am still seting up my 300.
