Hi Middlemark! Well I have a Milwaukee PH probe in the tank I never noticed any spikes. So I guess I can eliminate that. On that note though after three water changes I have noticed that I have better polyp extension on my corals and my xenia are starting pump again. Those little pink fuzzies...

Hey Everyone! The high alk was due to my overdosing. Although after a month of not of not dosing and multiple water changes the corals health declined rapidly. Especially fast after three back to back water changes over the coarse of three days using Oceanic. Now I am having the opposite effect...

Well I didn't read the whole thread but your window a/c should do the trick. I installed one last year and it has done a good job so far. The best part is that it keeps me cool as well. I couldn't see spending the cash for a chiller when I can cool the whole room for half the price.....

That would all depend on the output of the pump. Pumps will shut off at a certian amount of head pressure.... Maybe a MAG18 would be a good choice. They use 3/4" line and will pump 420gph at 15'.....

Hey! Yes I use it to mix the water over night. That way it is well mixed and heated to 78 degrees before I add it to the tank.... Previously I had to shake up the 5 gallon container I was using. Then I added an air stone and let it sit to help with the mixing. What a pain in the butt. Oh, on...
