I am happy u are bringing up this issue..mine has that stomach for 3 months now..never any sign of sickness..

When u popped it iff..was it moving?just to figure out sponge or critter..

Is it hard or soft?does it have a shell?

I actually dealed with the same problem yesterday..ended up taking apart half of my tank to get it out..I think there is not other solution..remove the whole rock and deal with it in a bucket..and go from there
