    Aquarium maintenance service?

Fish out of Water is from that area. There is also Advanced Reef Management that goes that far south. Classic Aquarium Service is from Vancouver. Just a few off the top of my head. All are top service companies. PM me for phone numbers. JPG

    Evergrow D120's feed back

Like most things in life, you get what you pay for. I have the Ecotech's and have had zero issues. Barrier is stand up, so you will not get much sympathy here.

    What happened to this forum?

Sad for all the sponsors, especially the long term ones. Would be nice to see RF do some promoting at the Reef Conventions around the country. Just my .02.

    Tribute

RF, On May 30th of this year, one of my hero's passed away. This man is my father. He taught me many things, but one of the most important was, if your going to do something, do it right the first time. This has been burned into my DNA since I was very young. Some of my first memories...

    36" tall Blue Ended tank

Black, blue, yellow, white and green. I could care less. In the end, I make dreams a reality. J

What Type and brand of silicone to use

E6000 is toxic to your animals. It"s been done, but just sayin'. J

    Crack in bottom

I'd look into an acrylic tank. This would not of happened. What LxWxH is the glass tank? You could recoup some cash with the snake keepers. J

    36" tall Blue Ended tank

RF, We are seeing a trend in the industry with using Blue for backgrounds and overflow boxes. Check it out! You can see the new recessed Lexan Covers in this pic. In this pic, you can see the recessed lid, and a machined out auto feeder port.

    Steel Stand with Toe Kicks

Guy's, Sorry for the lack of new posts, been swamped in the shop with lots of cool projects. Just been turnin' and burnin' with no pic's. Here is a cool stand that we did for Barrier Reef. It is going into a nail salon in Bellevue. The back story on the original install is the owner had his...

    PEPPIE's New 120 Acrylic Build

I was getting these sweet true union Ball valves that WERE imported that are like an inch longer than a ball valve in the same diameter. They were not cheap, but super high quality. Too bad they are no longer available. They would have been sweet on your build. Good luck, J

    PEPPIE's New 120 Acrylic Build

What made you go with gate valves vs a ball valve? Is it for the fine tuning of flow to each port? J

    PEPPIE's New 120 Acrylic Build

Pep, Why is one panel of your OFB clear? Do you want to see what fish went over? I was a little let down on how you cut your teeth. Do you get any chip out with your dado set? I figured you have some fancy jig to cut them on the router table. Jason

    E.T.S.S. Skimmer

I built that set up who knows when, but it is all current to todays standards, except that skimmer. Much better technology available today. Keep the gate valve as it is used to make the drains quiet. It is called a Herbie style overflow. Try uploading you pic's into photobucket or a similar...

    Best cone skimmer

I'd take a close look at the Vertex skimmers. I have installed quite a few, and own one myself. Top drawer craftsmanship, and great performance and you don't need to take out a loan to get one. Barrier Reef was stocking them, and Bulk Reef Supply has the full line. J

    Drilling tolerance ??

As close as you need to. That is one of many advantages over that inferior glass material. The acrylic could care less. J

    stand help

Are you looking for a wood cabinet style or something else, like steel? I would start by figuring out what the footprint would be, and then the height. Add 6 inches to the LxWxH, and you will be happy. Just my .02. Jason
