Are you talking about tank dKh? I would do water changes to lower your tank dKh 30BPM is a good start. Whats your effluent rate at? Your reactor dKh should be twice that amount. Dont adjust your reactor to raise or lower your tank. Reactors are to maintain levels, not adjust them.

Its fast stuff Suck it out and keep sucking it out. It will subside. It usualy grows in cycles. Slow up on your feeding or your additives that is fueling it.

Why hasn't there been a sticky about Calcium reactors yet??? I see these kinds of questions a lot. Does a person just need to take the time to write one up? Sorry don't mean to step on toes but a sticky would help people a LOT about reactors.

Ok when I shut down my return pump I loose my CO2. The reactor is fed off the pressure side of the return pump. When the pump is off it dumps all the CO2 into the reactor at one time. Not too stable for the reactor or my tank. My CO2 is working against the pressure of the pump.
