I was the one in the Kilt ;)

no attachment to coralife bulbs, that's just what popped up when I did a quick google search. I currently have an Oddyssea Fixure with the 20,000K bulbs it came with it's a 2x250w 20,000K HQI DE / 4x65w Power Compact Actinics

I'm very open to feedback

that's the kind of info I was wanting to hear. I'm kicking around the idea of going to a 14-15,000K bulb when these are closer to the end of there life

you talking about Shark Reef? I think his are 250 watt but he only has one light over each 75gal tank.

looks like you could use a Lawnmower Blenny ;) I picked one up a few weeks back. he made short work of the hair algea in my tank. now he's eating Flaked food

you could paint the bottom of your tank (outside) with white paint. it would probably brighten up the inside of your tank. the epoxy / Sand idea sounds great tho. I'd love to see it in person

I just found some older pics of my tank (a little over 2 years ago) from right after setting up this tank and transferring everythign from my 35gal tank.

I ended up going with a 760W fixture (2x250w 20,000K MH / 4x65w PC Actinics) an issue I never thought of... heat I'm currently looking for a hood so I can get my lights up off the legs (currently about 5-6" over the water) and get some fans into the hood. check out my tank pics in the link...
