Thanks guys, I knew about letting it sit in the water for 20 minutes or so before turning it on, I just didn't know if this particular model was submirsible. I will just do as you suggest though and keep the top portion of it above the water level.

Should I just filter it out through my skimmer then? Try and break them up by hand? What do you usually do twilliard?

Just tested and PH is around 8.2

IO salt at 78 degrees. Normally it dissolves, by sight, within 5 minutes or so.

How does everyone run power to their fans in their MH pendant? Do I need to plug the fans themselves into their own light socket or is there a way to hook them up to the retro fit MH wiring so that when the power for the MH goes on, the fans themselves will also start up? Forgive me for asking...
