    Being Conscientious

Seahorses are already being regulated under Cites. Which is a very good thing. I think the one thing to remember here is that this hobby has made huge advances in a very short period of time. It keeps growing and getting better and better. My point here is that if people hadn't pushed the...

    ICH in the reef tank

Hey Nikki, always a pleasure! I have to say, I have been dipping saltwater fish in freshwater for over 20 years and have yet to have one go into shock. You have to properly adjust ph and temperature of course. I watch the fish very closely for signs of distress. And I have found it a very...

    ICH in the reef tank

The pet store I help has been successfully battling ich with the use of diatom filters and diatonaceous (sp sorry) earth. Many stores have gone to quarantines with copper systems. Also there is the uv filter. I would also recomment the use of vitamins like selcon and garlic. I would be extremely...

    A Saga: Nikki's 120 gallon

Nikki there is another type of material other than egg crate. Its in the lighting section as well and its very thin with lots of tiny holes. It might work best and you can cut it as needed.

    A Saga: Nikki's 120 gallon

Nikki absolutely great thread. I'm glad you are feeling much better. I was just wondering, two things really about the algae, are all your levels stable now? No fluctuations of calcium, ph, alkalinity etc? and two how much surface movement do you have? I know you have a lot of current in the...
