    small blue sea star

Along with about 12 banded starfish, I just found a small (1/8") blue-grey starfish on my rock. Read about coral-eating starfish - is this little one about to be a danger to a reef tank?

    lots of striped starfish

All of a sudden there seem to be long-legged (like brittle star) starfish in many rock crevices. We found 12 yesterday. Arms are about 2" long, very very thin, so they may have been there for a while. One looked like it had 7 arms, but couldn't make out more than 5 on the others. Greenish -...

    Whats your favorite LFS ?

For hands-on help and cautions, esp. for newbies, I really like Jesse at Denny's Pet World in Totem Lake. He's always courteous and knows his stuff. Good credit for anything that doesn't it make it in a reasonable time, too. Even though they sell other stuff, Jesse's the go-to person for reefs...

    Fastest in wall ever

Just browsing and saw this... you are quite inspiring! What a beautiful build-out and nice tank set-up. Way to go. And 6 weeks isn't much for any remodel, never mind such a rebuild. Our remodel (one part of a room) has been in pieces for 3 months with at least a month to go... sigh. Well done!

Hi - just saw you're in the same town (Kenmore) Happy Bday when it comes later this month, and happy reefing. I'm looking for a few tbsp of live sand to seed a new tank. You interested in passing a bit along. I'd happily pay whatever's reasonable :-)

    The Sterile Tank method!

If anyone wants to try it, I have 20+ lbs of what used to be live rock in a fabulous office nano - last week the heater failed and cooked the tank, zoas, corals, fishees... oooh, the pain (and the smell!) when I got in to work. Temp was almost boiling, so no chance of salvation or resuscitation...

    HELP ASAP: limpet eggs

Limpets description Like a snail foot, but has no shell, just a back. when it released the eggs, it stretched full length like it was taking a deep breath, and then poofed out a stream of what looked like tiny bubbles. The clownfish went crazy, eating as many 'bubbles' as they could.

    12 Gallon Aquapod Salt water

I'd recommend more rock to act as a filter in your small tank. 5 lbs doesn't seem like much... Any thoughts on this, reefers with lots of experience?

    HELP ASAP: limpet eggs

Two limpets in my Nanocube 12DX spewed eggs this morning, and then disappeared. Do they die after spawning? In a nano tank, I'm keeping a close eye on everything! mail me directly at [email protected] if I shoudl be getting them OUT right away please. ASAP appreciated.

any thoughts on my new tank?

tenecor I have a freshwater 50 Tenecor. Love the tank, except as you say, the back is narrow. My female betas escape into the back through the slots when the male nips at them. Enjoy your new tank. I just set up my first salt: 12DX nanocube with live sand/rock and 6 weeks to go before I add...
