My Upgrade to a 265 gallon display.

Thanks Guy's, been a year since I first filled this tank with water, but officially it will be a year next month since I did the initial changes and got it running properly. Since the algae problem has been taken care of I've started concentrating on trying to get the SPS to colour up. I've...

    Calcium Reactor Feedback/Opinions

I'm using a Octopus rx with Carribsea FCC media and have been very happy with it's performance. The only problem I found was that the PH probe port on the rx was too small to fit a Tunze Probe or Pinpoint probe. I had to ream the port out to get it to fit, and then needed a few rubber washers to...

If I Were You... Yet Another Lighting Question

Hi Kraut, I ran XM250's on Icecaps for about 3 months and wasn't impressed with them. Switched over to BLV14k's supplemented with 03 VHO, Giesseman actinics and ATI Aquablue spezial T5's and been very happy. I also have a SPS dominated tank (BLV is a subsidary of USHIO)

Some updated pics. This tank really has tested my patience. Months of planning, careful setup, paying attention to detail etc etc and this is how the tank looked about 4 months ago: The Algae outbreak from hell It really got me down and it seemed as if I would never get through it. But I...

My Upgrade to a 265 gallon display.

Few more I've added a remote DSB with Carribsea Arragonite to my already crowded sump cabinet. So I needed to expand it a bit to house my RO top up and chiller. I'll post some pics of it soon. Here's a few more of livestock. The seriatapora is growing like a weed and has been fragged quite...

    toothless overflow

I don't have teeth or mesh on my overflows. My tank has a coast to coast wier with twin overflows so the water level only rises a couple of mills. I've only had a curious clown go over so far, and fished him out the next day with a net. Beauty of it is the whole overflow and wier stays clean.

    Bio-diesel

Oh ok. Diesel has caught on here fast and is very popular. Most manufactures offer at least one diesel derivitive in their range. I myself have a diesel car although it is probably considered a truck / suv (Landcruiser Prado). Most of my friends drive diesel powered cars and have never looked back.

Soccer is big here so there's going to be plenty of interest and luckily by default we qualify becuase we are hosting. Not that I hold out much hope for our team, they pretty dismal at...
