Anyone using a Sequence Hammerhead in the seattle area?

My hammerhead was noisy at first. Sent it back to sequence and it came back quieter. Sounded like sand was in the pump. Then it took a 40gal SW shower and doesn't spin any more, just hums. BTW - don't use rubber drain couplings on output of hammerhead - they won't handle the pressure. Got a...

i need to get rid of some live rock

Eric, I'll throw it in a cooler and bring it along. If you like it, I'll sell it to you for a token price. Hate to see it just die after keeping it skimmed and lit in the garage for ~6 months. - Dave Dunn

i need to get rid of some live rock

according to the wife, it's sell it right now or trash it Would it be totally uncool to bring live rock to the PSAS meeting tommorow? If it was a normal meeting I'd just haul it along and sell/give it away. But being at a vendor it feels kinda tacky. Opinions?

    Local pickling lime

I got mine here http://mrswages.stores.yahoo.net/mrswagpiclim.html Problem is that shipping will kill you unless you buy enough to spread out shipping & handling charges. Turns out I didn't really need 24lbs of lime (2 cases), but it's cheaper that way. And I use about a lb every 3-4 months...

I have a couple cases of Mrs Wages. If somebody wants a pound or two, drop me a PM. I'll sell it at cost (about $4/lb) to anyone willing to come pick it up in Redmond area.

What would you like to see in the PSAS?

Ok, I get it. Yeah, that would probably be a nice little session. If nobody else wants to do it, I would be happy to set up a little station with handouts showing links to Randy's articles, the recipes I use, and samples of the products that I use. I can also include the names of the stores...

Selling off a bunch of equipment in Redmond tommorow

Unfortunately I can't make it to the BBQ. My wife is going to Canada this weekend and I need to take the kids around to their activities.

Selling off a bunch of equipment in Redmond tommorow

Please buy my rock Well, people are interested in the skimmer. So... I need to sell the rock bad. Otherwise that rock is gonna get nasty fast. My wife is also tired of the open brute containers in the garage sending salt creep all over. Anyone who wants to come by my place tommorow 10-4 can...

What would you like to see in the PSAS?

Brad, I'm interested in the Bellevue area SPS group. Dave Dunn ([email protected]). DIY two part? Why does club need to buy it? You can get Peladow CaCl at HomeDepot in convenient 13oz bags for $0.89 (labeled driZair) and Arm&Hammer Baking Soda is pretty easy to find. Epson salts you can...

What would you like to see in the PSAS?

Yes, in addition. Voluntary signup basis. 5 ppl in a group is five meetings. So one breakout session each month for oct, nov, jan, feb, mar is roughly how they tend to work out. Hosting for fish people is pretty simple (unlike hosting a professional society). "Over here is my reef and over...

What would you like to see in the PSAS?

Ed, I'm not sure if you were responding to my suggestion. It's not so much about a tank-buddy (but that's a likely positive side effect). Rather it's just a way to create small "club-within-a-club" groups that really get to know each other and get to spend time seeing each others tanks in...

What would you like to see in the PSAS?

I would love to have the club sponsor signups for "PSAS social group" lists. Like maybe have people sign up and then they are randomly grouped together into groups of 4-5 people based on on geographic area. Less than 45min drive is good idea. Then over the course of the year, the group is...

Selling off a bunch of equipment in Redmond tommorow

I've recently redone my 225 reef. All new plumbing. So I'll be selling off a bunch of equipment tommorow and saturday during the neighborhood garage sale. If you are interested, stop by or drop me a note. It's all in good shape (used for 2yrs or less) and I'm looking to sell it to local...

    Local source for Calcium Chloride?

Found Some! dri-Z-air Ok, the home depot in Redmond has a product called dri-Z-air. It's on an endcap by the plumbing dept. You are supposed to leave it laying around to absorb humidity (like that's gonna work...) Anyway, according to the MSDS found on http://www.drizair.com this is...

    Local source for Calcium Chloride?

Willy, thanks but the only dealer in that table is in Spokane. That's over the mountains from here, about 5hrs drive I think.
