What size do you think is best???

So the 24-26 inch range in height sounds pretty much accepted by most of us.

What size do you think is best???

I really like the look of a 72" long tank. So the only real question for me is how tall, and how wide (front to back)? so the general consensus is the front to back measurement is the most critical for aquascaping. What about depth for lighting considerations? Is there a depth that is too...

What size do you think is best???

Ok everyone (especially you big tank people). What size tank is your dream tank? I know people with 180s and I know people with 300s. Knowing what you all know now...what size would you go with if you could do it all over again and money wasn't the issue? I'm really just interested in tank...

    Glass tank bulkhead drilling

Listen. This really isn't that difficult. I've drilled dozens of these now and the process is very very simple. Keep the cut wet at all times, be patient and let the drill do the work. You need to use a high speed drill like a dremel tool. I personally use the small diamond bits. I first...

    Spray bar versus bulkhead

If you use a spraybar on your return...make sure you add an anti-syphon hole somewhere near the waterline. Equally important...make sure you regularly clean the hole. Yes...I learned this one the hard way:(

    Aragocrete want your opinions\comments

The stream thing is an awesome idea. Wish I had thought of it when I made mine. I was curing it in a wheelbarrow and trash cans. Six months later it was still not ready.

    Anenome

Elmo...good points. I would appreciate any help you can give me in finding another perc. A couple clarifying points though... I'm cheating on the nano. In my system I have a 30 gallon sump :) and a 15 gallon refugium. My main concern in this situation isn't necessarily having an anenome...

    Anenome

    Ok...So does anyone out there have a perc that's no bigger than 1"?? :) Mine's about 1 3/4"

    Standpipe overflow water level fluctuating

Ok here's what I did... I bought several caps for my standpipe and drilled them all with different diameter holes up to 1/4 inch. Still had the same issue. In fact the bigger the hole the higher the water level. So I went back to the original cap that I was using. Apparently the problem was...

    Anenome

Right now he's hosting in my frogspawn but I would prefer him to be in an anenome.
