    Banggai Cardinalfish

Best if you leave the male alone. If you stess him out he may swallow his eggs or spit themout. He will be fine in you main tank, no one will bother him. When he is ready to release the babies you will know. It should be 25 - 30 days from when he recieved the eggs from the female. When they are...

    Bangaii babys

If you want to raise them heres what works for us. First do not put them back in the display, they wont last long even the parents will eat them. We use a breeder net hung on the inside of the display tank and raise them in that for the first 30 days or so. You can pick one up at petco/petsmart...

    Overflow Leak

There is no way for water to get from the theaded adapter of the durso to the outside of the pipe under the tank. Those are threaded to the inside of the bulkhead fitting and water leaking through the threads of the durso can only go down the drain. No need to teflon those threads. There are...

    Stanley Cup Time!!!

Good game I didn't think they had much of a chance after losing game 5 and going back to Calgary. Calgary played a great series and they knocked off some top knotch teams along the way. Those guys will be back next year for sure.

    acrylic tank question

Wooddood They are referring to the front and back panels of the tanks. Typically acrylic because it is flexable when under presure will form a shape not unlike that of your T V screen. Even very thick panels on large aquariums 3000 plus gallons when veiwed from the end along the panel will show...

    Acrylic and UV question

RedEyeReef I called the tech. dept at Polycast this morning and asked them about exposure to UV as this question has been coming up quite a bit lately. This is what they say; there acrylic is UVA safe for ten years which is also by the way the warrenty period, after that time it may discolor...

    acrylic tank question

Rick I think you are confused over what is standard off the shelf aquarium and what is a custom aquarium. Companys like Sea Clear and Tenecor and Clearity and so on build for the masses. That is the market we targeted when we started and we still produce those today and will continue. If you...

    acrylic tank question

For the most part it is the height of the tank that determines the thickness needed. A 60 x 24 x 30" tall tank built from 1/2 will bow as much as the 55 built from 1/4 or the 120 built from 3/8. All are safe and should pose no long term problems. However if you prefer not to have any deflection...

    Whats in your mush

I do wash all of my processed seafood although not in RO just good old tap. I usually buy clams and oysters fresh in the shell and open them; one for the fish two for me one for the fish three for me  takes alot of them to get what I need (for me). I did want to ask Mike why thaw in RO I...

    acrylic tank question

Here you go guys; that is normal for that tank. Almost all prodution acrylic tanks will bow, manufacturers like Sea Clear will use the thinnest possible sheet to keep cost down. I would assume that tank was built from 1/4 thick material that is the standard for 20" tall tanks, it should be fine...

    Whats in your mush

My mixture is about the same as Mikes but I freeze mine in 1 quart freezer bags. I just add the seafood stew to the bag and flatten it out on the counter until it is about a quarter inch thick or so, just like the flat packs. Then lay it flat in the freezer. Makes it easy to snap off differant...

    Weld-On 40

Tom Weld on 40will be the best way to make that seam. Mix it 10 to 1. I had a hard time at first getting the mixture down but that seems to work best. If you need a syringe I could send one to you we have a couple of bags of them. You should be able to fill that void with the 40.
