2 of the same fish together?

a friend might be shutting her tank down, and she has a couple of fish that she asked if i'd like. my question is would 2 blue tangs (both small 3-4") co exist in a 120? what about 2 niger triggers, (again both small 2-3") in a 120.
i know once these fish get bigger they will need bigger homes....

Many fish are usually aggressive towards conspecifics. Sometimes you can get away with keeping two of the same fish species that usually would fight together, but you would have to have a tank several times larger then yours. Overall I think it would be a bad idea, even temporarily.

I agree that even temporarily, your tank is much too small to house the fish you're talking about. ESPECIALLY if the 120 is already populated with the fish in your signature. If that's the case, the tank is already seriously overloaded.
