Apparently Doodette liked it so much she changed her Avitar to it.

How did everyone else like it?

(Don't give away any details, I haven't seen it yet  )

What a great movie! :D

I almost want to go read a history book!

Maybe I can find one online; that doesn't count as reading, does it?

horribly portraying of the historical event i've read.

but blood, war, ****s, decapitation, hard core ****, sex, ****s and more ****s makes this movie AWESOME!

i'm going to see it again in the theater

300 is a 2007 film adaptation of the graphic novel 300 by Frank Miller, itself a fictionalized account of the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC.

As 300 uses historical narrative to introduce fantastic creatures, it fits within the genre of historical fantasy.

The film's director Zack Snyder states that "The events are 90 percent accurate. It's just in the visualization that it's crazy.... I've shown this movie to world-class historians who have said it's amazing. They can't believe it's as accurate as it is." He continues that the film is "an opera, not a documentary".

Seems to me the movie was as accurate as they wanted it to be. I agree 100% with the end of my last quote... the film is "an opera, not a documentary." I have never seen a movie done quite like this. Besides the obvious that Adam pointed out, I love the narration and the fantasy that are seamlessly integrated into the story.
