300gal protein skimmer

looking for an upgrade. Id like an external skimmer. Recirculating is a +
$450< plz and figured we could talk a lil about skimmers since a sudden spruce of energy has risen around here lol.

dwell time and energy efficenecty is goooood to. thxs

I have always ran external skimmers........mainly because I have had big tanks. I like the ease of maintenance too

Do u place the skimmer next to the dt usually? Does it have to be plumbed above the sump spinner? Does it depend on the gph through the size of the body?

I like my life reef skimmer just old school and time I think. It's had 1200gph blasting through it for a yr or so and I'm worried it'll crack and leak bad.

My next dt down the road I'll run an external and internal I'm thinking. If ones good two is better lol.
