Hey guys so here i start with a plan for a 4x2x2 80% sps and 20%lps tank
theres are my plans so far
lighting
2x 250w 1400k metal halides with artinic supplement T5HO 4x24w ( im thinking aquamedic ocean light plus ) but i cannot find much feed back about these items.
lights will be on idividual timers
first bank of T5 on at 9
second on at 9:10
first bank metal halide on at 9:30
second on 9:45
12 hour period then lights shut down on reverse
a LED moon light will be on during the night although i have no idea where i should place this so it does not get cooked by the MH
Filtration
i will use lots of live rock in the tank how much im unsure of
tank will have a 35g sump in the stand.
main filtration will be a skimmer ( i was thinking a Aquamedic turbo flotor 1000 blue, aquaworld WG524 or a reef octopus 500L OPT)
but i really have know idea so any advice would be excellent
the majority of the sump will be a refugium with agonite sand, chaetomorpha and live rock
Circulation
circulation will be provided by 2x VorTech MP40w props
sump return
( dont know what else is that enough )?
thats me so far any advice would be great really appreciated ill leave will a few pictures of my current tank ( pretty poor i know., but thats why im upgrading and doing the project 100% properly!)
