I have already looked into this at our local welding supply shop and he told me it would cost me $80 to rent for the year plus the cost of gas or I could buy a steel tank for $150 plus the the cost of gas... . I figure it would be less costly this way.

Holy crap! That's insane. Glad they aren't like that here

Hey all I received my calcium reator today and now Im searching for a co2 tank and while searching I found this one

That is a heck of a deal for the C02 tank. I am looking at setting up a CO2 system to grow large amounts of phytoplankton. I wonder if there are any non-aquarium sources for a regulator and solenoid valve that would be better than about $150 which is the prices I am seeing on aquarium sites.

Im also looking for a regulator and solenoid, I have picked the ph controller which is the Milwaukee sm-122, I found it for $89 at an online dealer.

I have the tank and controller, but it looks like Im going to have to bite the bullet for a good regulator... This is the one Im looking at...

anyone know of a good one that may be less expensive.

I found this one which has a ph controller and everything. Still have to supply the CO2 cylinder for it to be a complete kit. It is $202 for the works and it is milwuakee brand.

For doing phyto cultures I need it to be ph controlled to prevent ph swings. Appearantly it will make the culture much more stable, and mature faster. Has anyone done anything like this? Maybe I should post in the phytoplankton forum for more info on CO2.

wow,did I find a deal local... At a local beer tap supply store The guy there told me he has three 20lb aluminum tanks that he has sitting and he would give me one for $89 filled so he can get rid of them.

All I need now is a regulator.
