75E

I have a 75E and was curious if anyone hear knows if it is drillable? Is just the bottom glass tempered or all panels? I am assuming that the E in 75E stands for Economy. I would like to drill it or have it drilled. Thanks

I would assume just the bottom is. I think you can look through the glass with a polarized lens to check. Someone else want to chime in?

Do you know who made the tank? There is a good chance the bottom is tempered and yes you can tell by using a pair of polarized sunglasses as well as a method using a laptop. here is an old thread on it:

Last time I looked at Aqueon tanks at a LFS the guy working there said Aqueon is now tempering ALL the glass in ALL of their tanks. I didn't believe him but when we looked at the tanks themselves they had a factory sticker on them saying that very thing. "DO NOT DRILL, ALL GLASS IS TEMPERED". Sounds like a gimmic to me to get us to have to buy their specialty pre-drilled tanks instead of doing it ourselves anymore.
