LMAO 132 freaking fish and some big species too not to mention the inverts!!!!! Is this a question to even ask? There is no way a 80g will hold all that fish. They will be stacked from top to bottom the legnth of the tank. Definatly not the brightest idea.

Part of the problem besides the amonia level spiking is keeping the O2 up and CO2 down.
There will be a lot of die off even with VERY frequent water changes...

only fishes no inverts

i am planning on selling these to LFS HERE

i am not worried of amonia spike
becouse i have amonia killer with me ...live bacteria

basically i have to keep 90 fishes alive

tank lenght is 4 ft and height is 3 ft

no rocks no sand

used anti chlorine already

fishes coming in 3 days

i have used a good amount of o2

i believe 70 out of 130 fishes will be sold in one day

left 60 fishes

can this tank hold 60 fishes for max 1 week....

if not

how can i keep them alive

i have no other option

.......
regards

I would run a HUGE skimmer and add as many huge air pumps/air stones or water pumps with air venturis inside large tubes. Also keep the surface churning for gas exchange. You can also set up new large garbage pails as BIG sumps or holding tanks.

Do not assume your live bacteria will handle all the ammonia as it won't. Be ready for frequent large water changes.

i am keeping all inverts in different tank.....

fishes in 80 gallon

even if one fish dies i lose money here ...

i need to save them .....

making them healthy is different issue..

You don't have the resources/experience necessary for this if you are asking if a single 80 gallon tank will work. Stop now while you are ahead.

You got yourself into something WAY over your head.
Sorry, but there will be deaths, guaranteed.
Keeping marine fish alive is a skilled job and requires a lot of equipment.
Keeping that many fish alive requires a lot of tanks. Perhaps as many as 10?

LMFAO...... Is this a big joke or what? I bet you will lose at least 25% of that live stock on the 1st day if not more. You knew all you have was a 80g tank to put these poor fish into and you still made the rational decision to bring these creatures in? I would hate to see these poor fish suffer and die but I really hope some do to teach you a BIG lesson on how much of a dumb idea this is and you LOSE MONEY BIG time as you sure don't care about the well being of these animals.

Are you kidding me!!!??? If you're worried about losing 1 fish, you really have some thing wrong. Chances are, you'll lose 50 fish!!! You'd lose 50 fish DAY 1. By day 2, I'd be surprised if 10 are still alive. By day 4, you'll have an empty tank. I hate to say this, but if you're seriously considering this, YOU'RE NUTS!!!

Oh, IF, and there's NO WAY, you had a way to combat all the ammonia levels, you'd have to deal with:

Clowns killing Clowns (you're talking 45 clownfish!!!)
Korans killing everything they can
20 Yellow Tangs??? Yeah Right!! Talk about Brett's above mentioned Halocaust
2 Ray fish that will eat whatever they can catch.
7 Triggerfish that will tear each other apart

5 Box Jelly Fish, that are one of the most toxic entities on earth, and need a Kreisal Tank.....

I gotta say, this thread should be voted "Best of...." something.....

This is not a mistake Mike. This is intentional! He knew he didn't have the means to bring in all these animals and still did so.

So, if you're serious, then as someone else suggested you need more containers, and anything could be used that has a non-reactive surface(i.e. not metal) - bath tub, ceramic or plastic or glass mixing bowls, flower pots, rainwater catch basin, clean empty plastic milk jug with top part cut off...if it's just for one day, I'd suggest an over-tank filter on each running carbon - that would oxygenate the water nicely and help clean it as well.

Also, if you expect much of the live stock to sell the first day, perhaps much could be left in its shipping container for an hour or two extra and sold directly to its new buyer?

Those are my most constructive ideas. And yes, I think this was a large mistake, many animals will die, and I rather wonder whether it's for real as well.

You definitely need more space for those fish. The old rule goes something like this. 1" of fish per 2g of water. Some will say 1" of fish per 1g but that can lead to overcrowding pretty quickly. While this is not a hard and fast rule it is a good one to consider when talking about the well being of living creatures. Even if the 60 fish you need to take care of were only 1" in size each, that would still be a bad environment. As others mention above you have to deal with extreme water quality issues, livestock stress (no hiding places), territory issues, aggressive behavior and possible mass contamination by a sick fish, just to name a few.

Some of these fish cannot coexist peacefully and the situation will be substantially aggravated when forced to be in a confined space. If you cannot offload the fish in another manner, I wold encourage you to find numerous additional tanks with heaters/chillers, filtration, etc. ASAP. Otherwise you are looking at a pretty high mortality rate.
